Oh my God! It’s the long-awaited First Impressions blog! I know you guys have been dying to hear what I have to say, so I’ll waste no time. For organization’s sake, I’ll follow the order on CBS.com (because I’m too lazy to hunt around and put them in alphabetical order).
Alex: The DJ company owner from Staten Island. The first episode didn’t really feature him too much, which is probably good for his character development. He seems like a decent guy; I think it was smart of him to conceal the fact that he owns his own business. I’m actually reading on his CBS profile that he lost his dad on 9/11, and he’s dedicated his life to making his dad proud. That’s terribly tragic, and my deepest condolences go out to him and his family. Any criticism is restricted for at least a week
Amanda: The paralegal from Minnesota. Better known as Janelle 2.0. Could they be anymore similar? She’s very enjoyable to watch, I think she’s going to be a favorite, but I’m not going to get ahead of myself like last season (I totally thought Zach and Amber would be my favorites; barf!). Right now, I’m definitly liking the Alex/Amanda team.
Ryan: The college student from Ohio. A.K.A. Jen’s boyfriend. A.K.A. the heavy sweater. I really like him. I actually kind of like this twist (with the exception of being nominated and evicted as teams). I’m rooting for Ryan and Jen to make it to the end and keep their secret.
Allison: The pharmaceutical sales representative from Boston. Also, Ryan’s partner. Another houseguest that wasn’t featured heavily in last night’s episode. She seems to be a very nice person. I liked how she didn’t mind Ryan sweating on her. Because that guy was raining buckets of sweat. My eyes would have been burning so badly. She gets bonus points for being a great partner!
James: The homeless biker. The free spirit. Very cool guy; I think we all like him. Although, did anyone else notice his temper when Chelsia dropped during the first competition? He whacked her in the eye with that stuffed animal. I don’t know if it was intential, but it was a wee bit scary.
Chelsia: The college student from Iowa. James’ partner. I like her a lot, too. She and James make a really great team, and they are my front-runners at the moment. I was totally rooting for them during the first competition, and I’ll continue rooting for them (for now!).
Jacob: The electrician from Georgia. I’m split with this guy. I really liked him in the very beginning, but once he started interacting with Sharon, I got annoyed. I think it might just be the two of them together that is annoying. I do feel for them, though. You could tell they were completely caught off guard when they saw each other. I’m definitly rooting for them to work things out in the house.
Sharon: The realtor from Kansas. Jacob’s ex-girlfriend. She seems like a nice girl, but she definitly had an attitude when she talked to Jacob. I can understand the predicament, but it was annoying. I think the two of them together is going to be like Jun and Jee. Except not funny.
Matt: The roofing foreman from Massachusetts. I love his accent. I think the first episode edited him as self-obsessed, but I think he’s mostly trying to be funny. Like Nick Starcevic. I have a feeling he’ll be the comic relief along with James.
Sharon: The BIKINI BARISTA from Oregon. I just love that job title, I think it’s hilarious. It reminds me of that barber shop where the hairdressers wear lingerie. Anyway, she seems to be a nice girl. Not a whole lot of screen time, yet, but she and Matt get bonus points for lasting so long in the competition and letting Jen and Parker have the win.
Joshuah: The advertising media buyer from Dallas. God bless his soul for living in Texas, that’s all I have to say. I think he’s going to be the more annoying of the two gay guys. But we’ll see. So far, I find him to be a tad much, but maybe he’ll grow on me.
Neil: The realtor from California. Joshuah’s soulmate. I love love love him. I think he’s super cute, I just hope he doesn’t end up going on the gay man ego trip that Marcellas, Beau, and Dustin all suffered from. I have a feeling he won’t, but I’m just warning you all that it’s possible.
Adam: The PR manager from Cherry Hill! Can I get a what-what?? I don’t even live in Cherry Hill (but I’m damn close), but I have a love for White Castle (which isn’t even there anymore). There IS a Chubb Institute in Cherry Hill, though This has gone on way too long. Way too long. I really like Adam. OK, I don’t really like him, but I do have a lot of sympathy for him. Anyone stuck with Sheila deserves a damn medal. You are in my prayers, Adam.
Sheila: The former model from Tennessee. Get over yourself, honey.
Parker: The papparazzo from California. Love love love him. Want him to stick around. I think he’s going to be a favorite, but I feel bad for him for being Jen’s partner. Not that she’s annoying, but because she has a BOYFRIEND! Poor guy thinks he has a chance to get his mack on with the little white girl, and she’s gotta lead him on. Tsk tsk.
Jen: The bartender from Ohio. Ryan’s girlfriend. I think she’s a sweetheart, and I really like the twist with her and Ryan. I’m rooting for them. Really, there isn’t much else for me to say about her :-/
Okay, that was exhausting. I need a nap.

It’s official, folks! The Donatos have won the game! And the jury made even bigger fools of themselves with their ridiculously bitter attitudes. Well, game over.
